- DMACK (born Drew McKeon)was born and raised in the mountains of Western North Carolina. In high school he excelled in sports with many residents in the community and most of his family fully expected him to play college basketball. But something totally unexpected happened. Having great writing skills and the ability to compose beautiful poetry, he began free styling his work with some college buddies and quickly gained the respect of his peers as an artist and producer. He became extremely serious about his music and started his own production company (Tarheel Productions). Realizing by the end of the first semester that college studies were not going to get him anywhere in the music industry, he moved to New York City at the age of 20 and attended the Institute of Audio Research where he gained the knowledge he needed to record, produce and mix his own work. DMACK recently finished up an internship for MTV and currently resides in Nashville.. DMACK writes all his own lyrics and makes all of his own beats. Take a few minutes to listen…..I think you will be impressed.
